Rooms were simple but we did go to Tamarindo to sit in our rooms all day. Our cleaning lady did a great job everyday. The layout of the resort was a little different than I had imagined. Our rooms were across the road from beach and restaurant however this was not a issue. Buffet was loaded with local foods and fresh fruit! We did not use the pool near the beach but the one located near our room was big, clean and never felt packed. It was nicely located within the town. Overall I would stay again

Mocha was my instructor for the 6-day surf camp. He is very detailed and challenges me to think and feel about each pop up attempt to see if I can feel what I was doing right or wrong in order to push me to become successful on my own. Within 4 days, I was able to advanced to a hard board. Mocha encourages and pushes me to be more confident. The staff at the surf shop are all so welcoming, friendly, and encouraging. This has been a dream of mine to learn to surf, and everyone there made it happen for me. I am eternally grateful!

The USS North Carolina battleship is moored by the hotel, and boat tours along the Cape Fear River await.
Everything was very nice over all. The gentleman who checked us in on Sunday Feb 15th was absolutely amazing, friendly and offered a lot of information on options around town. Our restaurant waitress made a positive impression on us and was very friendly. The breakfast food and selection was one of the best we’ve had on our stays.

The location is fantastic, right next to Times Square. Entertainment and dining options are super convenient. The night view from the room is great, and the hotel has a bar perfect for a couple of drinks. It’s also very close to all the major attractions. Definitely recommend!
